The Case for Standardization: Building the Foundation for NoOps
摘要
In the previous chapters, we explored how DevOps arose to break down silos and speed up software delivery—only to discover that fragmented toolchains and heterogeneous developer environments can undermine its effectiveness. From sprawling CI/CD pipelines to multiple, unintegrated IDEs, fragmentation not only slows teams but also blocks the potential of AI-driven automation. In this chapter, we make the case for standardization: establishing consistent processes, toolchains, and developer experiences. We’ll see how standardization enables innovation—rather than stifling it—and why it is essential for AI readiness, compliance, and, ultimately, the realization of a NoOps future.
