A digital asset is an asset that is created and stored in a digital—binary format and contains monetary or personal value in the form of usage or ownership rights. Digital images, photos, documents, videos, and audio files are considered “assets” because they hold monetary and personal values. Digital assets have recently expanded to the blockchain world by introducing digital currencies and various types of cryptographic tokens.
