A page is a lot like a post. The same tools are used to create a page, and the general structure of a page is like a post. There are some key differences. First, a page is not listed in a post list on the website. Pages are free standing and, unless linked from within the website, cannot be accessed. They will not be listed under the author list, and they do not have tag support, so will never be listed under the tag list.
