Views, Duality Views, and Materialized Views

Views are used extensively in reporting applications to present data APIs and subsets of data to users. One could start to look at views as a way of managing data and presenting data sets differently for applications and users to consume the data. It is not just reading the data; the capabilities exist to modify it through the view.
