Containers and Pluggables

Oracle Multitenant was introduced in Oracle Database 12c. Now with 23ai it is the only supported architecture. You have already learned how to install Oracle Databases and create pluggable databases with this architecture. A multitenant container database (CDB) can house one or more pluggable databases (PDB). A container is a collection of metadata and data files within a CDB.
