In the realm of cybersecurity, if outright ransomware prevention is unattainable, the subsequent priority becomes its swift detection. Despite being equipped with the latest antivirus solutions and comprehensive defense mechanisms, a staggering 85% of organizations afflicted by ransomware were found to have these protective measures in place, yet still fell prey to attacks. This chapter delves into optimal strategies for the early detection of ransomware, aiming to halt its progression and minimize the resultant harm.
