Ransomware Recovery Framework
摘要
Ransomware is a cyber threat that targets a company’s computer system and demands a ransom for releasing data or unlocking accounts. Ransomware attacks are currently considered among the most significant threats to companies of any size, type of organization, or field of activity. These stealthy malware threats can easily secure essential contents and applications, bringing a company’s functionality to a halt until the price for their release is met or, in other words, decrypted. Developing a robust and comprehensive recovery plan for ransomware is critical because it will allow one to limit the amount of time spent and data lost in the process. This chapter gives detailed information about the step-by-step procedure for creating and enforcing an efficient and comprehensive recovery plan for ransomware attacks. It describes an entire process, from identifying an attack to a system rebuild and configuration adjustments that discourage the attackers. Further, it discusses methods and techniques for quickly identifying and preventing infected computers from leaking encryption across the network.
