A-ESA Governance Techniques

Architectural experience, whether personal or from others, can be systematized into techniques. This chapter touches on techniques, more on the art of IT architecture. These techniques, or simply guides, aim at governance, which is a set of rules and policies based on leading practices and lessons learned to achieve architectural goals. Many of the techniques in this chapter are summarized from practical cases. Figure 6-1 shows this chapter’s holistic view of enterprise IT solution governance techniques, along with solution management context.
