I decided to develop an entire chapter on the subject because AI governance and oversight are crucial for organizations that rely on decision-based AI models. AI governance and oversight are not just about compliance; they are about proactively building a responsible and sustainable AI-driven future for the organization. There is no one-size-fits-all AI governance structure. Organizations must identify roles and responsibilities at strategic, tactical, and operational levels, establish an AI governance council, and identify all groups supporting AI initiatives.
