Prediction Machines

In 2017, a small group of Harvard researchers (Ajay Agrawal, Joshua Gans, and Avi Goldfarb) released a book called Prediction Machines, in which they proposed that the best way to discover AI application use cases is to look for problems of prediction. AI is, at its heart, a “prediction machine” that can be used to find correlations and patterns in past events to predict future outcomes.
