The word design can inspire several different meanings. Within the context of CyberDynamX, Design is constrained to two concepts: How the security portion of the organization is structured from a reporting and authority perspective and the creation of a reference blueprint that provides high-level guidance for the security architecture of an environment. It is these two ideas that I will explore in detail in this chapter. But before I go directly there, I want to take a short trip through the world of IT Governance to create a foundation for this discussion.
