Transferring Records

FileMaker has import and export functions that transfer records between two locations. This allows repurposing data to avoid retyping, migrating data from other systems into FileMaker, migrating data between FileMaker databases, making a safe backup of key data outside of a database, duplicating commonly reused data from a template table into a content table, sending data to other systems, and more. FileMaker supports many standard file formats and allows the creation of new records or updates to existing records, with a granular selection of individual fields to be transferred.
