Pseudorandom Number Generators

Randomness is a key element in cryptography, as cryptosystems and protocols are based on arbitrary numbers that cannot be predicted. Numbers with such characteristics are known as randomly generated numbers (or random numbers), and the technique of their generation lies in a statistical context. Random numbers are mainly used in domains in which results that cannot be predicted are expected, for example, statistical sampling, simulations, or even gambling.
