Advanced Encryption Schemes

Advanced encryption schemes include fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) and searchable encryption (SE), which is a particular case of FHE. More than a decade ago when it was introduced, fully homomorphic encryption was considered a revolutionary approach in cryptography, although privacy homomorphism was introduced in the late 1970s [1]. Both types of encryption schemes are important for today’s technologies as they correspond to the current cybersecurity needs. Both are mainly focused on technologies such as cloud computing.
