Language plays a vital role in facilitating knowledge transfer among humans. Throughout the history of mankind, different means have been employed to enable knowledge transfer. It can be through means of oral communication like storytelling to passing knowledge in written formats like manuscripts, inscriptions, or newspapers. With technological advancement, people have adopted newer means like websites, blogs, online forums, and social media to share knowledge and information. With the availability of all this information, we are empowered to take data-driven decisions by learning from these data sources. But the presence of data in different languages poses various challenges in effective knowledge transfer. Some of the common challenges are language barrier and accessibility to information for people. In a world where we have more than 7000 languages, this problem just gets bigger.
