The world changed in 2020 when we were hit by the first global pandemic in more than 100 years, when the Spanish Flu killed tens of millions of people worldwide. As an aside, the Spanish Flu wasn’t named as such because it originated in Spain. It actually began in 1918 in Camp Funston, an army base in Kansas in the USA before spreading to Queens, New York and then on to Europe the following month.
