External Reporting Semantic Models

In this chapter, we will create trial balance external reporting semantic models and a journal entry external reporting semantic model. This involves extending the trial balance semantic models (Chapter 7 ) and a journal entry semantic model (Chapter 8 ), based on the external reporting logical models in Chapter 10 . We will start with a base semantic model – either Tyrell Corp (Chapter 7), Weyland Industries (Chapter 7), or StarSchema.co.uk (Chapter 8) – then go through each semantic model stage covering Power Query data modelling, Data Analysis eXpressions (DAX), and dynamic format strings.
