AI-Enabled Supply Chain Planning and Execution: A Pathway to Sustainability
摘要
Recently, supply chains and sustainability have dominated headlines in the world of business. The relationship between supply chain disruptions and climate change emphasizes the intricacy of supply chains, as well as their significance for achieving the sustainable development goals (SDGs) of the UN by 2030 (Ayan et al., 2022). These include promoting climate action, adequate employment and economic growth, and responsible consumption and production (SDGs 8, 12, and 13.) Nearly all 17 SDGs are touched by environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues that are weaved throughout international supply chains. Many approaches have been put forth, but one that is much too frequently disregarded may be the most successful of them all: artificial intelligence (Tukker et al., 2010).
