Technical Debt As an Economics Problem

Economics is a way of looking at problems involving agents acting for their own self-interest within a system. This pretty much describes a software development project. In this chapter we’ll look at eight economic problems that are particularly pertinent to technical debt and then use them to gain fresh insights into our technical debt problem.
