Modeling Technical Debt with System Modeling Tools

Technical debt builds up through dynamic processes. However, we cannot easily understand these processes just by analyzing static diagrams like those in the chapter on anti-patterns. In this chapter, we’ll run a simulation of a software development project using dynamic modeling software. Through this we’ll better understand how project conditions and decisions, such as underestimation and attempts to recover schedule, affect both the current project and future projects.
