Ensuring Data Protection

Data is a core asset to any enterprise. Data is the key, common element of the three information assurance building blocks, that is, data confidentiality, data integrity, and data availability. Confidentiality means we must protect the data that needs protection and prevent access to unauthorized individuals. Integrity means we must ensure the data has not been altered in an unauthorized manner. Availability means we must make sure data is accessible to authorized users when and where it is needed and in the form and format that is required.
