Radical Process Terminology

One of the major benefits of open source is the ability to learn from the experiences and efforts of others (see Figure 15-1). The idea of sharing your work so that others can benefit and return the favor in kind is one that not only applies to software, of course, but it has grown into a more refined process because of the work of software developers. That new process has been applied to everything from hardware and design specs for technology to plans on how to build tractors or even sustainable communities.
