摘要

Over the past 80 years, computers have transformed from basic devices into indispensable components of modern life. They consist of physical elements like CPUs, memory, and storage, driven by diverse software ranging from simple apps to complex programs. Operating systems serve as vital bridges between users and hardware. Computers serve various roles, from personal devices to embedded systems and servers in vast data centers. While general-purpose computers dominate today, specialized systems were more prevalent in the past. Data centers, originating in the 1960s, have evolved into massive public clouds provided by companies like Amazon and Microsoft, shaping our digital interactions profoundly.
