Introduction

There has been a dearth of self-developed child developmental assessmentAssessment scales in China. The Erxin Scales fills this gap to some extent. It is a representative work of the Capital Institute of Pediatrics (CIP), a national research institution for child development. Employing longitudinal observation and cross-sectional validationCross-sectional validation, CIP successfully developed the Erxin Scale suitable for assessing the developmental patterns and characteristics of Chinese children, and standardized it on a representative sample for normNorm(s) establishment. The Erxin Scales has been in use for over 20 years and has undergone revisions in accordance with international conventions.
