Application of Manganese Based Catalysts for VOCs Degradation: A Review
摘要
In this paper, catalytic combustion of volatile organic compounds (toluene, ethyl acetate and acetaldehyde) was reviewed over manganese based catalysts and over the catalytic combustion mechanism. At present, catalytic oxidation, as one of the important VOCs removal technologies, is widely used in the actual industrial production process because of its high efficiency and environmental protection advantages. Catalytic oxidation technology is of great significance to control and reduce the emission of VOCs. Compared with the precious metal catalyst, although the catalytic efficiency is slightly lower, the price is low, the property is stable and not easy to deactivate. Therefore, it is necessary to develop efficient non-precious metal catalysts. As one of the non-precious metal catalysts, manganese based catalyst is one of the most studied ones. This paper introduces the research progress and catalytic mechanism of manganese based catalysts, and points out that it is the direction of future efforts to find new catalysts that are easy to recover or easy to synthesize.
