Synthesis and Properties of Pentyloxy Triphenylene Bridged Tetraphene

In this paper, a kind of organic photoelectric material was designed and synthesized by flexible alkyl chain connection with pentyloxy-triphenylene and tetraphene. The synthesized molecular structure was confirmed by 1H-NMR and FT-IR. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and polarizing microscope (POM) were used to determine that they did not have liquid crystal properties, and the absorption peak was determined by ultraviolet absorption. Fluorescence spectra showed that they did not have AIE effect, and the liquid crystal properties and AIE properties of their respective moieties were disturbed by the alkoxy bridge between pentoxy-triphenylene and tetraphene. However, the mechanism of action that causes this is not clear.
