Synthesis and Mesomorphism of a Novel Asymmetrical Triphenylene Derivatives Dimer
摘要
In this paper, the design and synthesis of an asymmetric triphenylene dimer molecule with alkoxy chain lengths of six and four carbons linked by flexible carbon chains with a length of twelve is reported. The characterization results obtained from 1H-NMR and FT-IR confirmed that the structure of the compound was as expected. DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry) and POM (Polarization Microscope) techniques revealed its liquid crystal and thermal properties, showing an ordered mesophase of the columnar phase.
