Mechanical Properties Analysis for Telescopic Arm of a Trolley for Replace Plates

A new type of plate loading trolley composed of a telescopic arm and a swinging mechanism can improve the replacement efficiency of the plate roller and simplify the operation process. The telescopic arm will bend downwards under the weight of the plate roller, making the wing area more prone to deformation. The mechanical characteristics of the telescopic arm of the modified trolley are analyzed in this article, and the calculation methods for the deflection and stress of the wing plate area of the telescopic arm are provided. The finite element analysis of the structure of the telescopic arm was carried out, and the validity of the stress and deflection model in the wing area of the telescopic arm was verified by comparing the results of theoretical analysis. The research in this article provided a theoretical basis for the design of a new type of plate loading trolley.
