Study on Innovative Packaging Design and Protection Performance of Fine Strawberries

The sales of high-quality strawberries are mainly completed through e-commerce and physical stores. Packaging is an important technical link for its effective protection and promotion. This study takes high-quality strawberries as contents. Based on the needs of commercial logistics, innovative design of strawberry packaging was carried out for two different scenarios: e-commerce packaging and on-site packaging. They are all made of corrugated cardboard and adopt a heart shaped paper forming structure. Apply antibacterial coating inside the e-commerce packaging. Sealing the packaging before the start of e-commerce transportation can ensure the safety of the contents. Vertical impact drop and compressive strength testing experiments were conducted on the e-commerce packaging. Its average compressive strength is 945N, and after a drop of 800 mm, its appearance is intact, meeting the requirements of e-commerce logistics. On site packaging can compress the box blank into a flat shape, facilitating transportation to physical stores for opening and disposal by consumers.
