Simulation Study of Foam Starch Based Material Buffer Model Based on Abaqus

Foam starch-based cushioning materials have great application prospects in transport packaging design. In this paper, we hope to understand the mechanical properties of foam starch based through experiments, and to make simulation hypothesis analysis to determine whether the mechanical properties of the foam are in line with Hyperfoam mechanical model. In this paper, the mechanical properties of this starch-based foam material under compression are analyzed and verified with the Hyperfoam module of ABAQUS. The experimental results show that the displacement pressure curve obtained by the electronic universal testing machine is different from the stress-strain curve obtained by the simulation software. Therefore, the starch-based foam material does not conform to the mechanical properties of Hyperfoam.
