Research on Digital Reproduction Mode of Stone Rubbings

Stone carving rubbings are an important medium for disseminating history and culture, especially after the national legislation prohibits the production and sale of rubbing, high-quality reproduction of rubbings has become an important form of disseminating stone carving art. In this paper, the digital reproduction mode based on stone engraving rubbings is determined by studying the three aspects of preprocessing before rubbing, digital scanning and image processing, and inkjet printing output with xuan paper as the material. Pre processing before scanning of rubbings mainly study how to remove creases and folds on the basis of protecting the artistic characteristics of rubbing, so as to meet the requirements of scanning and copying. Digital scanning and image processing mainly study the scanning methods and parameter settings for rubbings, and reproduce the unique artistic features of rubbings relative to other paper planar artwork. Inkjet printing output mainly studies the method of printing and copying on two different materials, ordinary xuan paper and coated xuan paper, and makes a comparative analysis with the original rubbings. The research methods of this article are comparative analysis and experimental research, adjust the experimental data according to the results during the experiment, and obtain experimental results that are close to or meet the requirements through trial and error. The conclusion of this paper is that protective reproduction of rubbings can be achieved by formulating appropriate implementation paths.
