Renewable and Globally Scarce Resources: Agricultural and Food Resources

This chapter introduces the issue of global food security, with a particularly foucus in China, analyzing its relationship with climate and policy. Section 7.1 of the chapter introduces the importance of global food security. Section 7.2 introduces the current status of agriculture and food resources globally and in China, respectively. Section 7.3 introduces the main food security issues and analyses the mitigating role of agricultural policies. Section 7.4 introduces the impacts of climate change on agricultural production and proposes approaches to agricultural and food resource management. Section 7.5 summarizes the above.
