Test of Photonic Integrated Phased Arrays

In this chapter, test principles and methods in terms of the core devices in photonic integrated phased arrays are introduced firstly. Then, the test system design and test methods for the far-field radiation patterns of optical phased arrays are demonstrated in detail. Finally, the test cases in terms of silicon-based optical antennas, silicon-based phase shifters and optical phased arrays are presented.
