Design of Optical Antennas and Arrays

The size and radiation properties of optical antennas have a significant impact on optical phased arrays, and therefore, it is important to design efficient antennas and arrays with small size for silicon-based optical phased arrays. In this chapter, the design cases of silicon-based grating nanoantennas, plasmonic nanoantennas, silicon-based horn-shaped nanoantennas and antenna arrays are introduced in detail.
