Design in the “New Era”

What is the “New Era”? For all Chinese people living within this “New Era”, the term is more than just a period of time; it has become a special term on many occasions, carrying profound content and emotions. The Chinese government made a comprehensive summarization of the country’s development as it approached the 30th anniversary of its reform and opening-up policy, which spanned from 1978 to the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China at the end of 2007. Based on the report of the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Xinhua News Agency issued a long telegram to the nation, outlining the defining characteristics, achievements and hallmarks of the “New Era.”
