Design and Modern Enlightenment

After the reform and opening up in 1978, when Chinese people once again opened their eyes to Western design, they felt curious but somehow disapproving of it. They wanted to borrow from it but did not know where to start, and their minds were actually wandering in the dilemma of deep inferiority and blind confidence for a long time. Today, nearly 40 years have passed, and when we settle down to retrospect history, we find many highlights in the development of Chinese design and remarkable achievements by many designers in those years.
