Paragonimiasis
摘要
Paragonimiasis is among the food-borne zoonotic trematodes with a very broad geographical distribution (tropical and some subtropical regions of Asia, Africa, and the Americas), a large number of causative Paragonimus species, and a range of clinical signs and symptoms, which mimic especially tuberculosis and cancer (Blair 2022). More than ten species of Paragonimus—the lung fluke (Table 93.1)—infect human beings, but P. westermani is the most common.
