Toxoplasmosis
摘要
Toxoplasmosis is one of the most widely distributed protozoal zoonoses causing serious disease among pregnant women, developing foetuses, and those immunocompromised due to HIV or chemotherapy. The classical triad “congenital toxoplasmosis” includes hydrocephalus, retinochoroiditis, and encephalitis. Other organs affected may be the heart, liver, and ear. Recently, toxoplasmosis has been linked with attention deficit disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, schizophrenia, and suicidal tendency.
