摘要

Mycotoxicosis in animal and human can occur via inhalation, ingestion, or contact with mycotoxins largely due to contamination of feeds and foodstuffs. Mycotoxins are toxic secondary fungal metabolites of diverse nature and emerging toxic pollutants causing increased economic burden of concern for agriculture, aquaculture, and animal farming industries. Over 500 mycotoxins have been reported and new mycotoxins are often discovered. Common mycotoxins are aflatoxins, ochratoxins, fumonisins, trichothecenes, deoxynivalenol (DON), zearalenone (ZEA), patulin, sterigmatocystins (STCs), citrinin, ergotamine, etc.
