Tularemia

Tularemia is a bacterial disease of human and wild and domestic animals. It is a potentially fatal zoonotic disease if untreated. In man, it is characterized by sudden onset of high undulating fever, chills, fatigue, headache, pharyngitis and joint pain, dry cough and chest discomfort sometimes fatal pneumonia (if untreated), vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhoea and long course and longer convalescence.
