Brucellosis

Brucellosis is a direct occupational anthropozoonosis characterized by insidious onset of bouts of irregular fever over a period of weeks and months which are not pathognomonic (Maxwell and Bill 2008). It is a chronic disease, considered as pyrexia of unknown aetiology. Remissions are common and hence it is also known as undulant fever.
