Anthrax
摘要
Anthrax is an acute infectious disease of almost all warm-blooded animals and humans caused by a spore-forming bacterium Bacillus anthracis that affects the skin, intestine, lymphatics, respiratory tissues, kidneys and meninges, resulting into sudden deaths of animals. Distribution is worldwide. The name anthrax was derived from the Greek word ‘anthrakis’ which means coal because coal black skin lesions are formed in the cutaneous form of anthrax (Goel 2015).
