Larva Migrans
摘要
Some of the nematodes infect human beings, although they are not the natural hosts. In such a situation, the parasitic larvae move at random in the body system, initiating an inflammatory response. The development of the parasite is arrested. The larvae fail to become a mature worm. The fate of such larvae is eventual death due to the hosts’ response. The wandering larvae damage tissues and produce pathology, which may be described as cutaneous larva migrans, visceral larva migrans, and ocular larva migrans.
