Angiostrongyliasis

Angiostrongyliasis is a potentially fatal food-borne nematode zoonosis manifested as eosinophilic meningitis. It is endemic in South Asia, the Pacific islands, Australia, and the Caribbean islands. It has also been reported in Africa, Hawaii, and, recently, the southern United States.
