Culture as a Tool for Youth Employment in Vision 2030

Culture is embedded in Vision 2030. As an end in itself and a tool for employment. Culture is seen under Vision 2030 as a core value and driver for the new Saudi Arabia of the Crown Prince. The emphasis on culture has stimulated a new creativity across the country and given young people current work in the creative sectors, hope for the future and a new identity. Culture as an employment sector is funded very generously by the government through the Public Investment Fund and the Ministry of Culture. Saudi culture has long needed more recognition and respect. Just as Saudi Arabia is not a homogenous country Saudi culture reflects the country’s different regions and this gives it greater vitality.
