Electrochemical Methods for Measuring Water Splitting Efficiency

This chapter provides a comprehensive overview of various electrochemical methods for measuring water-splitting efficiency. The discussed techniques include cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, Tafel plot analysis, exchange current density determination, turnover number and frequency analysis, Faradaic efficiency determination, chronoamperometry and chronopotentiometry, corrosion experiments, and electrochemically active surface area measurements. Each of these methods is discussed in detail, including their theoretical background, instrumentation, experimental setup, data interpretation, and applications in water-splitting studies.
