In this chapter, the solution for stresses and deflection, for linear elastic case under SPH for bars under general load, is obtained by superposition of the solutions obtained for the individual internal force resultants. Problems analysed are: eccentric load on short columns, general load on shafts and beams, chain links and thin rings under diametral loads, and open-coiled helical springs under axial force and axial moment.
