Contemporary Improvements in Enhancing the Watermarking Techniques: A Deep Perspective

Digital watermarking is entrenching the digital watermark data or logo into the covert image to preserve its originality and protect the data from illegal access. In other words, it protects multimedia data from unauthorized access. One of the best examples of physical watermarking is banknote authentication. To design an excellent watermarking system, it is mandatory to maintain robustness, imperceptibility, watermarking capacity, and security. In addition, security is the primary concern in digital watermarking to secure or protect the content in an image. Many state-of-the-art works have tried to attain these trade-offs over the last two decades. In this article, we have given a clear idea about recent improvements toward enhancing the watermarking technique and its future directions.
