Further Topics

In this chapter two topics are presented. One is related to a global analysis in time t for solutions to the KdV equation in terms of the absolutely continuous spectrum of the Schrödinger operator \(L_{q}\) . Another is a generalization of the above framework to some multi-component systems, which yields the Nonlinear Schrödinger equation and Sine–Gordon equation.
