摘要

The press-in method is a piling method where a pile is installed with a static jacking force while a reaction force is secured from the previously installed piles. The piling data (e.g., jacking force and torque) at the end of installation (EOI) have been expected to be used for estimating the vertical capacity of the pile. However, this requires the knowledge on the variation of the pile capacity with time after EOI. This paper reports the time variation of the relationship between the resistance at EOI and the vertical capacity of the piles installed by the standard pressed-in (SP) or the rotary cutting press-in (RCP), based on the results of field tests and large scale model tests.
